LivingColors has been especially designed to create your own ambience at home through coloured light.

When using LivingColors for the first time, please read these instructions carefully and save them for future reference.

By following our guidelines, you will enjoy the full functionality of Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingColors.

-- Place LivingColors in a selected location on a flat and stable surface.

-- Direct LivingColors towards the wall (the optimal distance is 50 cm), insert the connection plug into the lamp and then plug it into the wall socket.

2. Create your own ambience by: -- Touching the desired colour on the colour wheel.You can move your finger over the colour wheel to refine the colour.

-- Changing the colour saturation (adding more white to the current colour).

Press the saturation up button for a deep colour or the saturation down button for a more pastel colour.

If you keep pressing the saturation down button, you will ultimately reach white.

Increase or decrease the light intensity via the dimming buttons.

Sweep your finger around the colour wheel (one full circle) and briefly press "I" ("On"); LivingColors will switch to the automatic colour-changing mode and the lamp will start changing colours automatically.

Speed can be adjusted clockwise, from fast (dark blue colour on the colour wheel) to slow (purple).You can tap anywhere on the colour wheel.While in the automatic colour-changing mode, you can also adjust the saturation and brightness of the colours.

To switch back to static colour mode, sweep around the colour wheel again and then press "0".Alternatively, you can switch LivingColors off ("0") and on ("I") again.

-- If you like a particular light setting (for example, red slightly dimmed), you can store this scene for easy recall: press and hold one of the Scene buttons until the remote control makes a beeping sound.Your scene is now stored under the Scene button you have pressed.You can also store a certain speed of automatic colour- changing mode in this way.

Whenever you want to go back to your stored scene, just press the Scene button you pressed when storing it.That Scene button will light up briefly to show that the scene is selected, and the LivingColors will go to your stored settings.

Switch off LivingColors by pressing the "0" (off) button briefly.

LivingColors will remember your last setting for the next time you use it.To switch it on again, press "I" (on).

3. Connect LivingColors to other Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingAmbiance products You can connect different products from the Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingAmbiance range to the remote control of your LivingColors.This way, you will be able to adjust all the connected products together or each of them individually – all with the same remote control.

1. You can connect other Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingColors lamps to your remote control.

Most Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingColors will work with this remote: just check if there is a SmartLink logo on the LivingColors you would like to link.All products with a SmartLink logo can be connected to your remote control.

18 To add a Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingColors lamp to the remote control, bring the remote close to the lamp, then press and hold the "I" button.The lamp will flash 3 times.

Hold the "I" button until you hear a beep from the remote; the lamp will shortly flash in green.

It is now connected to the remote control and will turn to its last "on" setting.

For a LivingColors coloured and white light lamp, please make sure that you also connect the white light.You can do this in the same way as LivingWhites products described in point 2.

If you would like to disconnect a LivingColors lamp from the remote, bring the remote close to the lamp, then press and hold the "0" button.The lamp will flash 3 times.

Hold the "0" button until you hear a beep from the remote.The lamp will now slowly fade to off.

2. You can also connect Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingWhites products (plugs, energy savers and luminaires) to your remote control.To add a Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingWhites product, bring the remote close to it, then press and hold the "I" button.The lamp will flash 3 times.

Hold the "I" button until you hear a beep from the remote; the lamp will rapidly flash twice.

It is now connected to the remote control and will turn to its last "on" setting.

If you would like to disconnect a LivingWhites product from the remote, bring the remote close to the product, then press and hold the "0" button.The lamp will flash 3 times.

3. You can also connect your remote control to another remote control from the Philips Living Colors 69166 LivingAmbiance range.Any LivingColors or LivingWhites remote with a SmartLink logo on it can be connected to your remote control.

Connecting another remote control will allow you to control the same lamps with two different remotes.You could, for example, create 6 different lighting scenes—3 on one remote and 3 on the other—with the same lamps.

To add an extra LivingColors or LivingWhites remote control, do the following: a. Reset the remote control you would like to add: open its battery compartment and press the RESET button for a few seconds (e.g.

Make sure that the batteries are in.The remote will play a sound to show it has been reset.

b. Hold the remote you have reset close to your current remote.

Press the "I" button on both remotes until the remotes play a sound.The remotes are now connected – this means that you can now connect the same lamps to the new remote control and control all lamps with either of the remotes.

c. If the remote you are adding is round, you can now also copy it: you can immediately have it connected to the same lamps your original remote is connected to.

In order to copy the remote, repeat the procedure described in point b.

Once you have connected one or more lamps to your Philips LivingColors remote control, you can control all of these lamps together or each one individually.

To control a single lamp, you need to select it (please note that for LivingColors coloured and white light, coloured and white light need to be selected separately).You can do this using one of the light selection buttons.When you press and hold one of the light selection buttons, the selected lamp will start blinking.

If this is not the lamp you would like to adjust, release the button and press it again; another lamp will start blinking.When a lamp is selected, the light selection indicator on the remote control (light bulb) will light up.This means you can now adjust the selected lamp only.

When no light is selected (light selection indicator is off), all your adjustments will apply to all lights connected to the remote control (for example, you can dim all lights in the room).

If you like a particular combination of light settings of different luminaires, you can also store it as a scene in the same way as described in section 2 of this manual.

4. Frequently asked questions What to do if… • The LivingColors is not providing light oo Check the connections of the cord to the lamp.

If the LivingColors changes several colours and then goes off, use the remote control to switch it back on.

• The LivingColors is not responding to the remote control oo Check the batteries in the remote control.The batteries should be correctly inserted (+ and -) and should be charged.

If the remote control is 19 still not working, try replacing the batteries.

oo Link the remote to the LivingColors by following the procedure described in section 3.1 of this manual.

• Buttons are flashing after I have used the remote control oo This means that the batteries in the remote control are (almost) empty and need to be replaced.

• I cannot start the automatic colour-changing mode oo It could be that the remote control did not understand your "sweep" movement.

Please try again, making sure that your finger is on the colour wheel during the full circle movement • I would like to connect the LivingColors to a timer.

Is this possible? oo Yes.You can use Philips LivingColors with a timer (not included).When switched on with a timer, the LivingColors will show your last setting (static colour or automatic colour-changing mode).

• I cannot connect additional lamps to the LivingColors remote control oo Please make sure that the product you are trying to connect has a SmartLink logo on it.

Only products with a SmartLink logo can be connected to this remote control.

2. Créez votre propre ambiance de la manière suivante : -- Sélectionnez la couleur souhaitée d'un simple contact avec la roue des couleurs.

-- Modifiez la saturation des couleurs (ajoutez plus de blanc à la couleur actuelle).Appuyez sur le bouton saturation + pour obtenir des couleurs intenses ou sur le bouton saturation - pour des couleurs pastel.

Si vous continuez à appuyer sur le bouton saturation -, vous finirez par atteindre la couleur blanche.

-- Créez des gradations.Augmentez ou diminuez l'intensité de la lumière à l'aide du bouton de gradation.

Déplacez votre doigt autour de la roue des couleurs (effectuez un tour complet) et appuyez brièvement sur « I » (marche).

LivingColors passe alors en mode de changement de couleur automatique : la lampe se met à changer de couleur automatiquement.

Vous pouvez régler la vitesse de changement des couleurs.Vous pouvez régler la vitesse dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, de la plus rapide (bleu foncé sur la roue des couleurs) à la plus lente (violet).Vous pouvez appuyer n'importe où sur la roue des couleurs.

En mode de changement de couleur automatique, vous pouvez également régler la saturation et la luminosité des couleurs.

Pour revenir au mode de couleur statique, sélectionnez à nouveau une couleur sur la roue, puis appuyez sur « 0 ».Vous pouvez également éteindre « 0 » et rallumer « I » LivingColors.

-- Si vous appréciez un réglage particulier de lumière (par exemple rouge légèrement tamisé), vous pouvez mémoriser cette ambiance pour y accéder facilement : maintenez enfoncé l'un des boutons d'ambiance, jusqu'à ce que la télécommande émette un bip sonore.Votre ambiance est maintenant mémorisée et associée au bouton d'ambiance que vous venez de choisir.

Cette méthode vous permet aussi de mémoriser un certain mode de changement automatique de couleur.

Lorsque vous souhaitez revenir à votre ambiance mémorisée, il vous suffit d'appuyer sur le bouton d'ambiance qui y est associé.

Ce bouton d'ambiance s'allume brièvement Temperature (operation): 0–40°C Temperature (Storage): -25–60°C Relative humidity: 5–95% non-condensing 21 pour indiquer que l'ambiance est sélectionnée ; LivingColors applique alors vos réglages d'éclairage.

Vous pouvez mémoriser jusqu'a 3 ambiances (une par bouton d'ambiance).

Appuyez brièvement sur « 0 » (arrêt) pour éteindre LivingColors.

LivingColors gardera en mémoire le dernier réglage sélectionné pour la prochaine utilisation.

3. Connecter LivingColors à d'autres produits Philips LivingAmbiance Vous pouvez connecter différents produits de la gamme LivingAmbiance de Philips à la télécommande de votre LivingColors.Ainsi, vous pourrez régler tous les produits connectés, ensemble ou séparément, avec la même télécommande.

1. Vous pouvez connecter d'autres lampes LivingColors de Philips à votre télécommande.

La plupart des lampes LivingColors de Philips fonctionne avec cette télécommande : il vous suffit de vérifier que le logo « SmartLink » figure bien sur la lampe LivingColors que vous souhaitez connecter.Tous les produits sur lesquels figure le logo « SmartLink » peuvent être connectés à votre télécommande.

Pour ajouter une lampe LivingColors Philips à une télécommande, approchez la télécommande de la lampe ; puis maintenez enfoncé le bouton « I ».

Maintenez le bouton « I » enfoncé jusqu'à ce que vous entendiez le bip sonore émis par la télécommande ; la lampe clignote alors rapidement en vert.

Elle est à présent connectée à la télécommande et applique le dernier réglage « on » (marche) sélectionné.

Pour une lampe LivingColors double éclairage blanc/couleurs, veillez à également connecter la lampe blanche.Vous pouvez la connecter de la même façon que les produits LivingWhites décrits dans le point 2.

Si vous souhaitez déconnecter une lampe LivingColors de la télécommande, approchez la télécommande de la lampe, puis maintenez enfoncé le bouton « 0 ».

Maintenez le bouton « 0 » enfoncé jusqu'à ce que la télécommande émette un bip sonore.

2. Vous pouvez également connecter des produits LivingWhites de Philips (prises, lampes à économie d'énergie et luminaires) à votre télécommande.

Pour ajouter un produit LivingWhites de Philips, rapprochez la télécommande de l'appareil, puis maintenez enfoncé le bouton « I ».

Maintenez le bouton « I » enfoncé jusqu'à ce que la télécommande émette un bip sonore; la lampe clignote alors 2 fois rapidement.

Elle est à présent connectée à la télécommande et applique le dernier réglage « on » (marche) sélectionné.

Si vous souhaitez déconnecter un produit LivingWhites de la télécommande, approchez la télécommande du produit, puis maintenez enfoncé le bouton « 0 ».

Maintenez le bouton « 0 » enfoncé jusqu'à ce que la télécommande émette un bip sonore.

3. Vous pouvez également connecter votre télécommande à une autre télécommande de la gamme LivingAmbiance de Philips.Vous pouvez connecter à votre télécommande toutes les télécommandes LivingColors ou LivingWhites sur lesquelles figure le logo « SmartLink ».

Si vous connectez une autre télécommande, vous pourrez ainsi contrôler les mêmes lampes avec deux télécommandes différentes.Vous pourrez, par exemple, créer 6 ambiances d'éclairage différentes, 3 sur une télécommande et 3 sur l'autre, avec les mêmes lampes.

Pour ajouter une télécommande LivingColors ou LivingWhites supplémentaire, procédez comme suit : a. Réinitialisez la télécommande que vous souhaitez ajouter : ouvrez son compartiment à piles et appuyez sur le bouton RESET pendant quelques secondes (par exemple, à l'aide d'un trombone).

La télécommande émet alors un son pour indiquer qu'elle a été réinitialisée.

b. Approchez la télécommande que vous venez de réinitialiser de votre télécommande actuelle.Appuyez sur le bouton « I » des deux télécommandes jusqu'à ce qu'elles émettent un son.

Les télécommandes sont à présent connectées.Vous pouvez donc connecter les mêmes lampes à la nouvelle télécommande et contrôler toutes les lampes avec l'une ou l'autre des télécommandes.

c. Si la télécommande que vous essayez d'ajouter est ronde, vous pouvez également la copier: vous pouvez immédiatement la connecter aux mêmes lampes que celles connectées à votre télécommande d'origine.

Pour copier la télécommande, répétez la procédure décrite dans le point b.

22 Une fois que vous avez connecté une ou plusieurs lampes à votre LivingColors de Philips, vous pouvez contrôler toutes les lampes ensemble ou séparément.

Pour contrôler une seule lampe, vous devez la sélectionner (notez que pour les LivingColors double éclairage blanc/couleurs, les couleurs et le blanc doivent être sélectionnés séparément).

Pour ce faire, vous pouvez utiliser les boutons de sélection de lampe.

Lorsque vous maintenez l'un des boutons de sélection de lampe enfoncé, la lampe sélectionnée commence à clignoter.

Si ce n'est pas la lampe que vous souhaitiez régler, relâcher le bouton et appuyez à nouveau dessus.

Lorsqu'une lampe est sélectionnée, le témoin de sélection de lampe de la télécommande (ampoule) s'allume.Vous pouvez alors régler la lampe sélectionnée uniquement.

Si vous ne sélectionnez aucune lampe (témoin de sélection de lampe éteint), tous vos réglages s'appliquent à l'ensemble des lampes connectées à la télécommande (par exemple, vous pouvez diminuer la luminosité des lampes de la pièce).

Si vous désirez une combinaison particulière de réglages de lumière des différents luminaires, vous pouvez également les mémoriser comme ambiance, tel que décrit dans la section 2 de ce manuel.

4. Questions/Réponses Que faire si… • Ma lampe LivingColors ne s'allume pas.

oo Vérifiez les connexions du cordon d'alimentation avec la lampe.Vérifiez que le cordon d'alimentation est correctement inséré dans la prise secteur.

Si LivingColors change plusieurs fois de couleur avant de s'éteindre, utilisez la télécommande pour le rallumer.

• Mon LivingColors ne répond pas à la télécommande oo Vérifiez les piles de la télécommande.

Les piles doivent être positionnées en respectant la polarité (+ et -) et doivent être chargées.

Si la télécommande ne fonctionne toujours pas, remplacez les piles.

oo Connectez la télécommande à LivingColors en suivant la procédure décrite à la section 3.1 du présent manuel.
